Wide Awake: Keep your trance working in 3 simple ways

So, you came to your hypnotherapy appointment nervous, excited and curious about what it would feel like to be hypnotized. You felt that familiar feeling of thrill, excitement and then... before you knew it, you were in a trance and it was just as familiar, common and relaxing as a walk in your favorite park. "Why was I so nervous?" you asked yourself. Probably the fear of the unknown. Now that you're settled, centered and absorbing everything you've been talking about wanting for so long, you began to see how your goals and new realities are going to unfold step by step. You leave the office and go about your day with a slight daze of a sensation, remembering key phrases and attempting to hold on for dear life to this amazing experience. You get ready for bed that night and fall asleep more quickly than ever before awakening in the morning refreshed and feeling that same feeling you felt at the office. Now the real work begins: watching all this magic unfold from a place of rest & inspired action.

Here are 3 simple ways you can keep your trance working for you.

Step 1) Practice feeling good

This seems counter-intuitive and slightly un-natural to most. However, this is exactly what you were doing at your appointment. With your hypnotherapist's guidance, you were suspending dis-belief and getting all of that resistance & contrast out of the way so you could practice your natural habitat: rest and digest. It feels to good to be true to some, and that's because you took a quantum leap into your desired state of being. So, keep practicing that feeling. Sit down, lay down, rehearse those key phrases, record your dreams and allow your subconscious to process everything happened. In other words, go with the flow.

Step 2) Don't over analyze.

This is the most challenging step for many analytical clients. When something so seemingly magical happens in our life, we want to understand it, pick it apart and make sense of it. Remember, this might be what you were starting to do just as you arrived at your first appointment. However, you suspended disbelief and allowed yourself to simply have the experience and allow it to be what it was meant to be. Keep this going. You may have the temptation to figure it all out. It's okay to demystify your experience a bit, but when you start seeing & feeling results, you can realize just how powerful your mind has been.

Step 3) Keep hypnotizing yourself

With such a powerful mind, you can keep up the tremendous work! You've been hypnotizing yourself already: for years. Now, you have a slightly more inspired method with some insight from your therapist. You're not daydreaming aimlessly now; not there's anything wrong at all with daydreaming. You just have a clear direction now with an end goal in mind and some more clearly laid out steps of how to get there. Keep planning for the best, take inspired action steps from a place of rest and go into trance on a more regular basis.

It's okay to Go deeper with your therapist, try other techniques, read some of the classic books by the greats & learn more about hypnosis. Journal your dreams, meditate, go into trance and keep creating the magic you started out with. You're guaranteed to find more if you keep looking.
